Established as a Limited Company in 1981, ABC Stainless Limited,
are acknowledged specialists for all types of stainless steel
fabrication, including hygienic products, having built a reputation
for supplying quality products.

Our reputation has been built upon efficient manufacturing facilities,
continual on-going assessment of administration and in-house facilities
and competitive tendering.

We are pleased to be associated with many well known Process and
Utility Companies, utilising quality assurance methods gained from
the Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Chemical, Brewery, Food &
Drink Processing, Off Shore Petroleum, Waste Water Treatment and allied
industries, with many of our facilities being requested as standard in
tender enquiries.

ABC Stainless Limited offer its clients experience and manufacturing
facilities far in excess of a general fabrication company, having
invested over three quarters of a million pounds in the last 3 years,
purchasing the latest CNC Waterjet and Laser cutting facilities,
Rotary Welding Equipment and other service some of which are unique
to the Company.

We welcome enquiries for all manner of stainless steel products,
in either ANSI304, ANSI316 or Duplex grades, with welding undertaken
by BSEN287-1 qualified Welders, together with in-house bead, grit
or various polished finishes.

Although we specialise in stainless steel, we are by no means
limited to this material and welcome the opportunity to tender
for alloy and aluminium fabrications, manufacturing one off's
or complete turn key projects to client requirements.

The Consaf stainless steel handrailing system is a recognised
and accepted system in the Food and Drink, Cosmetic, Petrochemical
and Chemical Industries, where build quality, hygiene and
appearance are critical factors. Consaf is durable, corrosion
resistant and maintenance free, and is manufactured as components
to allow ease of design and installation.

Consaf Stanchions give options in securing the hand/knee rail,
including anaerobic glue, welding or crimping. All of whick
provide a rigid assembly, locking against movement, corrosion
and bacterial attack.

Consaf stainless steel safety system offers versatility in its
comprehensive range of bends, end closers and stanchion optional
fixings. It is ideal for any situation due to its hygienic and
aesthetic properties and is probably the most flexible cost
effective system on the market today.

Where equipment access is a priority for maintenance, stanchions
can be flow drilled where the hand/knee rail passes through,
securing the rail with a grub screw, giving the additional
benefit of rail removal at any time. We welcome enquiries for
individual project designs, undertaking specific architectural
enquiries, including the supply of glass and metal infill panels.

Established in 1988 Aluminium to Zirconium was originally conceived
as a specialist welding comapny by its proprietor Mr. John Giles,
whose ideal it was and indeed still is, to produce exceptionally high
quality welded products in heat and corrosion resistant materials for
industry.

As recommendations grew the Company was guided towards full
fabrication and at present our in house facilities include an Argon
Arc vacuum chamber for the welding of refractory metals within a
controlled environment.

Our highly skilled staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience
in all aspects of this type of engineering and produce work of a
quality which is second to none. Products can be manufactured to
specific requirements or to customers own drawings if required. We
also undertake repair \ maintenance work either in house or using
our on site services.

With the continuing expansion and ventures into new avenues of
supply, the workshop is now increased to 6000 sq. ft.

New machinery acquisitions mean a continued dedication to all
round manufacturing capabilities.

Rolling capabilities improved to enable 6mm x 2500mm long to be
rolled down to 300mm diameter and punching holes up to 28mm diameter
through 12mm plate.

Welding capabilities increased by 3 further TIG plants and a 400 amp
MIG machine using flux cored and solid wires. Our welders are coded to
ASME IX and EN287 standards.

Our machine shop can now turn up to 640mm across the face plate and up
to 2200mm between centres x 85mm through the headstock allowing
machining of shafts between centres and large diameter flanges
and seal plates.

Our slotting machine can cut keyways through bosses up to 152mm deep.

All our staff are fully committed to producing the highest quality
fabricated and machined products for a broad customer base in all
metals, from 2 metre long Aluminium training bombs to Zirconium

Armstrongs Blacksmiths & Engineers was founded in 1997 by the Sole
Proprietor, Mr L Armstrong (RSS), AWCF, AWCB, as registered farriers,
soon diversifying into general blacksmithing and building a reputation
for quality.

Customer demand led to the further expansion of the business
into engineering, still with the emphasis on 'metal manipulation',
and the firm now supplies components to virtually every sector
of the engineering industry, including leading international
manufacturers. Increasing demand led, early in 1996, to the
acquisition of additional industrial premises in Tamworth, to
complement the original facilities at Friars Forge, Grendon.

The Company's success is attributable to a steadfast commitment
to quality, a commitment that remains to the fore as the Company
enters it's third decade of production.

Bowmic Limited was formed in 1971 by two senior Aerospace heat
treatment shop managers. It was their belief that the local engineering
sector would use a sub-contract heat treatment service run along
technically similar lines to their in-house cousins.

Now in our fourth decade of trading, the principles upon which the
Company was founded are upheld in today's competitive business
environment, within which Bowmic thrives as a provider of fast
turnaround, premium quality treatments.

Quality is always our number one priority. Getting the job done
right - first time - is the platform upon which we have built our
expertise. Bowmic are approved to ISO9002: 1994 and have ISO14001 EMS
pending. The QMS is supported by highly experienced operators and
backed by a programme of continuous investment.

Vaccum Processing furnaces are ideally suited to the bright hardening
of selected tool steels with minimal distortion. Fully automatic
cycling ensures reliability and repeatability of process. The use
of cryogenic nitrogen as a quench medium ensures that surface finish
is retained whilst environmental impact is minimised. Suitable
materials typically include A, D, H, T and M-Series tool steels,
in addition to the martensitic stainlesses (400-Series).

Sealed Quencs batch furnaces are designed to heat treat large
component volumes cleanly and economically in a gaseous medium.
Bowmic use closed-loop Oxygen Probe atmosphere controls, which
ensure precise management of Carbon Potential levels throughout
the programmed cycle. Neutral hardening, carburising and carbonitriding
are catered for on a 'round the clock' basis.

Nitriding produces a hard, abrasion resistant surface with improved
fatigue strength on selected materials. The Bowmic nitriding process
produces highly satisfactory case characteristics with the very minimum
of component distortion - making the process highly suitable for
Formula 1 engine components, extrusion dies, gears and mould tools.
Components of up to 480mm O.D. and 680mm in length may be treated in
the vertical plane using purpose-built equipment.

Tufftride? nitrocarburising variants TF1, Q, QR QPQ, TF1-LT and
Tenoplus give greatly enhanced resistance to wear, corrosion and
fatigue whilst reducing sliding friction. Suitable for use on all
ferrous materials. Treating temperatures are low and cycle times
short. The ability to downgrade materials or uprate performance -
and treat finished parts - has led designers to increasingly specify
Tufftride?.

Bowmic pursue a policy of continuous improvement. If you require
a treatment or process which is not listed here please contact us.
On most occasions we will be able to satisfy most requirements. When
we cannot we will direct you impartially to a more appropriate source.
Bowmic can collect & deliver your work.

sizes range from small quantity requirements to runs of over 10,000.

Printed adhesive front panels and touch panels are also CTL
specialities.

The unit is equipped with semi-automatic printing benches, and has
screen making and artwork production abilities. Customer instructions
can be downloaded via Email for a fast turn around.

A growing number of our customers find that their markets demand
individually branded products. CTL's high quality labels allow such
branding without the need for product variance until the point of
shipping.

A problem faced by many designers is how to provide a front panel or
instrument face that is sufficiently durable to survive considerable
wear, whilst still providing the precision and design flexibility
allowed by a printed panel.

The solution is the use of CTL's Dataface technology. This combines
the versatility of screen-printing with the durability of a hard
plastic finish.

After considerable development CTL use a technique that reverse-
prints onto hard clear plastic, which is then bonded to a metal base.

The print is thus secure under the plastic, and will withstand abrasion
and wear.

Intricate graphics can be reproduced onto multi-colour panels.

These will retain their clarity and sharpness in environments where
traditional printed panels would soon deteriorate.

CTL's Dataface technology is relevant to an infinite variety of
products. It can regularly be found on products as diverse as
audio equipment that undergoes rigorous treatment from "roadies"
touring with a rock band, to medical equipment where a faded marking
on a dial can literally be a life or death matter.

Labels are manufactured in an infinite variety of colours, sizes,
and media for a diverse range of customers and end-uses. Batch
sizes range from small quantity requirements to runs of over 10,000.

Printed adhesive front panels and touch panels are also CTL specialities.

The unit is equipped with semi-automatic printing benches, and has
screen making and artwork production abilities. Customer instructions
can be downloaded via Email for a fast turn-around.

A growing number of our customers find that their markets demand

such branding without the need for product variance until the point

There are countless companies around who offer fabrication and sheet
metal services. So why should you look at FSM as a possible
manufacturing partner?

Of course, we have all the latest high-tech equipment like laser
cutting and a CAD system with full 3D modelling capability.

And we have a prototype team that can cope with one-offs and come
up with solutions to your problems.

Our multi shift pattern gives us the flexibility to cope with tight
deadlines and larger than usual orders.

Transferring design information between customers and ourselves is
simplicity itself thanks to our ISDN link.

But there is one thing that our customers tell us that makes FSM
different. We have taken the time to search out what our customers
really need, then taken the trouble to make certain we deliver exactly
that.

We know that above all, every single item has to be right first time
and delivered on (or before) your deadline.

To achieve this we continue to invest heavily in our manufacturing and
I.T. facilities.

We work to ISO standard.

And the entire workforce, right through to the Managing Director, is
as committed to these principles as if their jobs depended on it;
because we are all aware - they do.

Our customers require a fast response, but not at the cost of
sacrificing design quality. To meet these demands we have invested
heavily in our CAD department to provide a faster and smoother
transition from design to final manufacture.

There is no better or more cost-effective way to prove the
practicalities of your design, than by viewing your components
assembled in 3D.

To achieve this we use one of the leading CAD packages available,
Solid Edge 3D. This excellent product along with our highly trained
staff provide a very efficient way of producing detailed manufacturing
drawings.

The accurate transfer of your design from CAD workstations to the punch
and laser is facilitated by direct CAM links.

The CAM software we use has been designed and written by the machine
manufacturer to achieve the best performance from their equipment.

The manufacture of high quality modular and bespoke trading desks for a
global supplier of innovative desking solutions. End users include
dealer rooms of the main UK and international banks and financial
institutions.

Communication panels, cabinets, chassis and enclosures are among the
range of components manufactured for the telecommunications industry.

The example on the right is a customer service and information point
made from aluminium. This provides free telephone access to local
services.

UV exposure cases, CPU support trays and enunciator housings are among
a wide range of items.

We design and manufacture vandal resistant steel door/screen systems.
These are made to withstand heavy-duty external applications and have
been installed extensively throughout the UK. They are called for by
municipal authorities who require a quality product that will give
years of maintenance free service.

Established in Sheffield for over 80 years, George H Cook is today
one of the leading Tool Steel suppliers in the UK with warehouses
in Sheffield and Coventry.

The move to a new purpose-built 3,300 square metre Sheffield
warehouse in 1997 has strengthened the company’s objective to offer
the UK’s widest choice of Tool and Mould steel with a range now
including powder metallurgy grades.

Recent investment has increased sawing capacity, and the company
has installed ‘in house’ surface grinding and milling to handle the
ever increasing demands for its Pre-Machined and ADVANTAGE bar in tool
steel, as well as creating the capacity to grind special sizes for
customers.

The range of Tool and Mould steels offered by George H Cook is
detailed in this catalogue. In addition to these grades, the company
maintains substantial stocks of Stainless Steel Bar in five popular
grades.

Selected Alloy Engineering and Carbon Steels are also included in
the stock range, being supplied mainly from the Coventry warehouse.

While stocks of standard qualities and sizes are available for
immediate delivery, the company can also supply special demands for
forged rings, blanks and blocks.

Non-standard grades can also be produced subject to manufacturing
quantity requirements.

The company has always prided itself on both the quality of its
steel and the service offered to its customers. George H Cook has
been a BS EN 9002 accredited supplier for 10 years and has also

GSM Valtech Industries Ltd is part of the GSM GROUP of companies.
We have five plants located within the UK.

GSM was established in 1974 by our current CEO trading as GSM
Graphic Arts Ltd, producing nameplates and labels based in a vacated
Army barracks and parade ground in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

Expansion came through organic growth and acquisition and in 1979
Valtech Industries was purchased and moved to the Thirsk site. At
that time, Valtech Industries manufactured laboratory equipment such
as, machined receptacles and plastic coated magnetic stirrers. In 1995
sheetmetal capability was added with the introduction of punching and
folding equipment. GSM had now entered into the market place offering
graphic panels produced by Graphic Arts complete with metal enclosures
and ancillary metal parts produced by Valtech Industries.

In 1997 the GSM GROUP acquired the metalwork fabrication plant
of Farnell Electronics based at Wetherby, West Yorkshire. This site
had been producing fabricated enclosures for Farnell products since
1957. The GSM GROUP has restructured and significantly expanded this
facility by investing over £1 million in state of the art technology,
machinery and people. This is now the 28,000 square ft. site of GSM
Valtech Industries Ltd.
