Using the best techniques of both traditional and modern practice
we maintain the highest standards of quality. Our furniture is made
by highly trained craftsmen applying the many skills that are unique
to this industry. Every detail of the manufacturing is rigidly
monitored right through the process of its construction.

Grove's furniture is supplied in two wood veneers each with its
own characteristics. Yew wood has subtle golden glow with an unique
in the grain. Produced in two standard finishes.

Mahogany features flame and curl patterns within its deep rich
colour. Available in 2 finishes Regency Mahogany, and Antique Mahogany.
These coloured finishes have been exclusively devised to enhance the
natural beauty of the wood and to produce a superb patina. The
selection of the materials is also most important and only mature
seasoned timbers of good configuration are chosen. All the wood is
from managed and renewable sources.

Many cabinets have crossbanding with ebony and sycamore stringing
or have inlays (some in precious woods). Other items have leather
tops embossed with gold leaf tooling all applied by hand in a choice
of antiqued colours maroon, tan, green, red, blue and brown. The glass
doors of our bookcases and display cabinets are puttied in by hand.

There is a range of different wood glazing bar patterns. The
colouring and polishing of which there are over twelve separate
processes are all hand worked and only after the final hand waxing
will we he satisfied that the finish has reached our exacting
standards. We ensure every order leaves our factory in perfect
condition after a rigorous quality control inspection.

Grove Furniture also offer a range of optional extras, for example -
polished solid brass fittings, plate glass for shelves and desk
tops, concealed lighting, mirror and moire silk backs to the cabinets
and bookcases. Please ask for details.

We have mentioned just a few of the advantages of purchasing from
Grove Furniture's extensive range of fine furniture. A browse
through our catalogue will confirm that this quality is for the
discerning purchaser for whom only the best will do.

Please note, due to reproduction limitations wood shades are not
an exact copy of the originals. Mahogany and Yew only refer to the
finish and does not imply the cabinets are wholly made of these
materials. All measurements are approximate and we reserve the right
to alter or modify designs as an ongoing development of our products.

formed in 1912. The company, at this time, imported canes and willows
for the manufacture of skeps for the local textile trade. Whilst
continuing to produce these products, we also produced fishing
baskets and other specialist items.

Around 1960, C. Haigh & Company began to import additional
basketware and gift items to supply retailers and wholesalers,

In 1974 the company name was changed to Habasco - a contraction
of 'Haigh Basket Company'.The company is one of the largest
stockholders of cane furniture and basketware in the UK.

Layezee and Perfecta Beds is the UK?s largest volume manufacturer
of beds and mattresses. Operating from two sites in West and South
Yorkshire, the Company produces more beds a week than any other UK
bed manufacturer.

Part of the successful Silentnight Group of companies, Layezee
and Perfecta is at the forefront of product innovation, constantly
exploring new ideas and developing original concepts.

During the 1950's, Mr Norman Wilkinson made a living re-stuffing
mattresses for local people in Bradford. He soon realised he
could increase the quality and durability of mattresses and set
up his own company - Layezee Beds, in 1955.

The company prospered and in 1964 moved to larger premises in Batley,
West Yorkshire. In 1971 Layezee joined the Silentnight Group of
companies and Mr Wilkinson joined the board of the parent company.

A major investment programme was undertaken during the early 1980?s,
resulting in Layezee Beds having a brand new factory built at its
present day site in Batley. The new production unit, which was
regarded as the most modern bed-manufacturing unit in Europe,
provided the Company with a fantastic platform for future expansion.

Layezee have pioneered work on environmental management systems for
the bedding industry and in 1995 was awarded the prestigious ISO14001
accreditation in recognition of their efforts to reduce waste.

Perfecta Beds was formed over 75 years ago in Borrowash, Derbyshire
where it was originally known as 'Baines Everitt'.

In 1973, the company joined the Silentnight Group and changed its
name to Perfecta Bedding. Since then, further changes have taken
place, namely a further name change from 'Bedding' to 'Beds' to
more clearly identify the company's products and the relocation of
the business to Wombwell, Barnsley in South Yorkshire.

In December 1998 Perfecta was pleased to receive the well renowned
Investors in People (IIP) award.

Layezee and Perfecta Beds

In November 2000, the Silentnight Group formed a partnership
between Layezee and Perfecta Beds to form the largest bed manufacturer
in the UK.

Today, around 700 employees are involved directly and indirectly in
the production and distribution of thousands of beds every week from
the two sites.

Layezee and Perfecta Beds is part of Silentnight Group Limited, which
is the market leader in two sectors of the UK domestic furniture
market - beds and assembled cabinet furniture.

The Group remains the largest supplier of furniture to UK homes,
having the capacity to deliver nationwide at short notice.

Through developing close relationships within the Group companies,
our aims for quality, innovation and value for money can be achieved.

The Roset company history has a long and colourful history, spanning
more than 140 years: founded in 1860 by Antoine Roset, the first
factories produced walking sticks and umbrellas, but it was the
production of furniture which was to bring worldwide success.

After Antoine Roset came Emile, and then Jean. Today the company
is still in the hands of the Roset family, headed by Jean's sons,
Pierre and Michel Roset.

When Antoine Roset, the great-grandfather of Pierre and Michel,
settled in Montagnieu in 1860, he found ideal conditions for his
wood-working business: the nearby beech woods of Chartreuse de
Portes supplied ample raw materials, while the little Brivaz river
flowed just strongly enough to keep the waterwheels of the nearby
sawmills turning.

At first the company confined itself to producing walking sticks
and umbrella handles, but times were changing and the Roset company
changed with them: the small craft workshop gradually evolved into
a manufacturer of furniture - period furniture.

In 1936 Roset produced their first upholstered furniture, and from
1946 onwards turned increasingly to modern and contract furniture.
In the post-war years they supplied French hospitals, schools and
universities, and even began to break into the domestic market
thanks to their innovative style.

On March 19th 1946 Emile Roset and his son Jean established the
company Veuve A. Roset S.A.R.L. Almost twenty years later the
company adopted its current policy of producing sophisticated,
contemporary furniture using the latest technology. The first
German agency was set up in 1967, and in 1968 the first all-foam
settee came onto the market, going on to become a huge success
worldwide. Then, in 1973, the brand name 'Ligne Roset' was created;
today that brand is represented on five continents, with exclusive
outlets in twenty-five countries.

As time went on the factories have been expanded time and time again
to cope with huge international demand, and today Ligne Roset products
are currently produced at six factories in the area east of Lyon.

The company works closely with others in the industry, sharing
technical know-how and ensuring that the processes they employ
are the best, and also the most up-to-date. This of course has a
beneficial effect on quality, but technology is never implemented
at the expense of design. The aim is to achieve the ideal balance
between form and function, and the scale of international demand
rather proves that this has been achieved.

For some years now Ligne Roset has been offering its own range
of accessories, lighting and textiles alongside the main cabinet
and upholstery collections. All of these have been created exclusively for
Ligne Roset, mostly by young designers, and can only be purchased through
bona fide Ligne Roset outlets. The range of textiles, for
example, comprises readymade curtains, throws, cushions, plaids
and bedding in silk, taffeta, cotton, linen, wool and mohair.

Ligne Roset's collaborations with the 'stars' of the design world
has been particularly fruitful. They are responsible for many of
the brand's greatest successes: the Peter Maly bed, for example,
or Pascal Mourgue's Calin armchair, or Didier Gomez' Fugue settee.
A fairly recent addition to the range has been the SMALA range by Pascal
Mourgue, comprising a settee, one-armed settee and footstool, tables,
chairs, lamps, vases and a rug.

The Ligne Roset collection is sold through selected retail outlets,
and of course through exclusive Ligne Roset franchises. This is
something of a new concept in the furniture world, and one which
has been remarkably successful in many countries worldwide.

Lyndom Design Ltd was formed in 1982 with production originally
taking place in a small garage in Cheltenham. The garage has long
since gone, but Lyndon is still run by the same team who continued
to steadily expand the business. The year 2001 was a particularly
important milestone as we bought our entire operation together under
one roof. Prior to this, we operated two sites in Cheltenham, but
the move has enabled us to bring the whole manufacturing process
together. Administration, design, development, frame making and
upholstery now all take place at our premises on Swindon Road,
Cheltenham.

We work extensively with architects, interior designers and
decorators throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. Whilst the
majority of our turnover comes from our standard product range,
we continue to produce and develop unique and special seating for
all sorts of unusual assignments.
