| Nyxem.e scheduled to strike on February 3rd A dangerous email worm deletes data from infected machines on the
3rd of
every month
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of
secure content management
solutions that protect against viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, hacker
attacks and spam, warns users against Email-Worm.Win32.Nyxem.e, which
potentially poses a serious threat. This malicious program spreads via
the Internet as an attachment to infected messages, and also in files
placed on open network resources. It's estimated that hundreds of
thousands computers around the world are infected, and the number of
infected machines is continuing to increase.
Nyxem.e's payload is triggered on the
third of every month, when the
worm will destroy data saved on the victim machine. The worm regularly
checks the system time. When the system data is the third of the month,
30 minutes after the victim machine is booted, Nyxem will delete
information from common file formats, replacing data with a meaningless
set of symbols.
"Internet watchdogs are confirming
Kaspersky Lab statistics - that is,
significant numbers of computers are infected with Nyxem.e. February 3,
2006 could turn out to be a very difficult day with unprotected users
losing data and the Internet community at large suffering from heavy
traffic", predicts Eugene Kaspersky, Head of Research and Development at
Kaspersky Lab. "All users should avoid launching email attachments that
have not been scanned. They should also update their antivirus
databases and then scan their computers to make sure that their machines
are Nyxem free."
The worm itself is a Windows PE EXE file,
approximately 95KB in size.
The file arrives attached to an email which will have one of about 25
different subjects. The message body and attachment name will also vary,
being chosen from among 20 possible variants, and this makes it more
difficult to instantly identify an infected message.
The worm is activated when the user opens
the attachment. Once the worm
has been launched, it creates a Windows ZIP archive which will have the
same name as the attachment, and then opens it. When installing itself
to the system, the worm copies itself to the Windows root and system
directories under a range of names. It also registers itself in the
system registry, ensuring that the worm will be launched each time
Windows is rebooted on the victim machine.
The worm sends itself to email addresses
harvested from the victim
machine. In order to do this, it establishes a direct connection with
the recipient's SMTP server. It also copies itself to shared network
resources on the victim machine. This increases the spread of its
potential reach.
The worm terminates processes connected
with security solutions, and
prevents them from being launched. Nyxem.e is also capable of
downloading updates to itself via the Internet.
Detection for Email-Worm.Win32.Nyxem.e
has been added to Kaspersky Lab
antivirus database updates. More detailed information about Nyxem.e is
available in the Kaspersky Virus Encyclopedia:

Improved product that provides
antivirus monitoring for large corporate
networks.
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of
secure content management
solutions that protect against viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, hacker
attacks and spam, presents a new version of its product for antivirus
protection of corporate networks - Kaspersky(r) Anti-Virus 5.5 for
Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA
Server 2004 Enterprise Edition is
a system for anti-virus monitoring of files transferred using the HTTP
and FTP protocols via Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration
Server 2004 Enterprise Edition. If malicious code is detected, the
system blocks any further transmission of such code, completely ruling
out penetration of infected files and web pages to the enterprise
network.
One of the main technological innovations
in the new Kaspersky
Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition is
support for installing the product on server arrays running Microsoft
ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition, making it possible to use the
solution to protect large corporate networks. The solution provides
centralized management of antivirus protection parameters and the
antivirus database updating procedure on all servers in the array.
The new version of the product inherits
all the features of its
predecessor, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.6 for Microsoft ISA Server 2000
Enterprise Edition, including configuration of virus scanning parameters
and notification of scanning results, lists of trusted servers and
object types excluded from scanning, automatic updating of anti-virus
databases over the Internet on schedule, and monitoring the program's
operation using standard Windows tools.

Maintenance Pack 3 provides
enhanced antivirus protection for Windows
file servers
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of
solutions that protect against
viruses, Trojans, worms, hacker attacks and spam, announces the release
of a new update package for Kaspersky(r) Anti-Virus 5.0 for File Servers
- Maintenance Pack 3 (MP3).
The technologies and procedures employed
in Maintenance Pack 3 have been
fine-tuned to provide improved functionality. This has been achieved by
optimizing some of the key functions in Maintenance Pack 3 and adding
support for lists of trusted processes. Moreover, the system
administrator can now exclude certain processes from protection, thus
helping to reduce system load. The solution's performance is also
increased through the now full compatibility with Microsoft Windows 2003
Server x64.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows File
Servers now provides
administrator-friendly features, such as a new function that
automatically restarts the application's processes after they are
terminated or after a software failure. This simplifies the
administrator's job in situations when normal operations are disrupted.
The product also has a user-friendly interface providing a convenient
system for automatically updating antivirus databases and flexible
configuration.
A revised mechanism for remotely updating
the antivirus databases and
modules helps reduce network traffic and free up disk space on the local
update server. Now the system can be configured to download only those
components of the antivirus database and application module updates that
are relevant to the products on the customer's network. In the
product's earlier versions, updates for all Kaspersky Lab products were
distributed to the enterprise network. In this version, however, if the
customer's network only comprises Windows systems, then only updates for
Windows workstations and file servers will be downloaded.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows File
Servers uses cutting-edge
technology to provide reliable antivirus protection for file servers
running under the Windows operating system, and ensures the effective
detection and removal of malicious code from all file system objects on
the server. The application works equally well on all networks of all
sizes, from small businesses to major multinational corporations.

New version of personal firewall
released
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of
secure content management
solutions that protect against viruses, spam, spyware, Trojans and
hacker attacks, announces the release of the latest version of its
popular personal firewall, Kaspersky(r) Anti-Hacker 1.8. New in version
1.8 is an upgraded interface to facilitate improved licence key
management.
Kaspersky Anti-Hacker provides full scale
protection for computers
running under the Windows operating system against unsanctioned access
to data, and hacker attacks conducted via local networks and the
Internet. One of the main changes to Kaspersky Anti-Hacker 1.8 is the
upgraded interface, which now incorporates key management via the main
program window. Links which make it possible for users to obtain a full
license key online to replace, for instance, a trial key, have also been
added.
This latest version retains all of the
features of version 1.7,
including an ergonomic interface, appropriate even for less experienced
users; easy-to-use functions ranging from simple initial configuration
to protection management (displayed through a five-level security
scale); and a stealth mode, which allows the user to block external
attempts to connect to the computer and to surf the Internet unseen.
Additionally, the solution ensures the
integrity of data stored on the
computer by monitoring all network operations launched on the computer
(e.g. application activities which include accessing the Internet,
filtering incoming and outgoing packets, etc.).

Industrial Companies Realize
Unmatched Return On Investment With Pay Per Click Marketing
Company: IndustrialClicks.com
Country: USA
url: http://www.industrialclicks.com
Business-to-business industrial companies
are realizing an unmatched return on investment with online marketing agency
IndustrialClicks.com. Specializing in the Industrial, Business-to-Business, and
Manufacturing sectors, IndustrialClicks.com uses Pay Per Click marketing services to drive
highly targeted prospects from today's major search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, and
MSN, to their client's website. Complete ad reporting makes it easy for industrial
companies to measure return on investment.
IndustrialClicks.com is a specialty
marketing company that works exclusively in the Industrial, Business-to-Business, and
Manufacturing sectors. Leveraging years of Internet experience in the B2B world,
IndustrialClicks.com is producing unmatched return on investment for their clients.
Focused on Pay Per Click advertising, the agency explains that no other marketing channel
offers industrial manufacturers the flexibility, reach, and performance of this
value-driven sales tool. "Pay Per Click advertisements speak to people when they are
actively looking for information about an industrial product or service online, and send
targeted visitors directly to what a client is offering. With cost-per-click pricing, it's
easy to control costs-and clients only pay when people click on their ads" stated
John Oisela, Marketing Manager.
Pay Per Click marketing is an emerging
form of Internet advertising, spawned by the widespread popularity of search engines such
as Google, MSN, and Yahoo. Industrial customers gravitate to these search engines, using
them to source products and/or services for their projects, factories, and/or automation
lines. After making a "search", consumers are presented with pages that display
website listings matching their query. Accompanying these website listings are Pay Per
Click advertisements, promoting like minded products or services. The industrial
manufacturers' advertisement is delivered to prospects at the exact moment that they have
expressed interest in the product or service, resulting in a highly targeted marketing
audience.
Upon seeing an industrial manufacturer's
marketing message, prospects click on the text-based Pay Per Click advertisement and
arrive on the client's website. After landing on the advertiser's website, prospects can
find the information (product specifications, manuals, contact information, etc...)
they'll need to make a purchasing decision or request for quote.
Pay Per Click advertising has become
increasingly popular with industrial manufacturers for several reasons; all leading to
increased sales and lower marketing costs. Supporting this trend was a recent survey of
business-to-business consumers questioned about their usage of the Internet. "When
participants were asked to indicate how they would go about making a B2B purchase, 93.2%
said they would research the purchase online" stated Paul Brummer of MarketProfs.com.
Based on these figures, Industrial companies are gaining a competitive advantage through
web-marketing services such as the Pay Per Click advertising services.
Besides pinpointing target markets with
extraordinary accuracy, Pay Per Click services offer an attractive cost model. Advertisers
only pay for the prospects who click on their ads, no matter how many times they appear;
it is comparable to having your ad in the phone book, but only paying a set fee, when
someone calls into your office. As a result, costs are easily controlled and managed for
the best return on investment.

opportunities and streamlined the search process. Search with limits enables you to search
documents with certain attributes only (by file size, by message subject, by characters in
the heading, etc.). In addition, the interface of SearchInform 1.6 has been slightly
retouched, a number of minor bugs have been corrected and a plug-in for Microsoft Visual
SourceSafe has been added.
With the help of SearchInform 1.6 in just
a fraction of a second you can find any document located on your computer's hard-drive or
in virtually any database.
High indexing rate (up to 6 Gb/hour), a small index size (15-20% of the actual bulk of
textual information), support of virtually all widely spread formats of text files,
(including .pdf, .html, electronic messages from Outlook and TheBat, mp3 and avi tags) and
correct work with archives turn SearchInform into an irreplaceable tool for searching
information.
AG Neovo Releases E-Series LCD
Display Now Both With DVI
AG Neovo, an award-winning worldwide
consumer and professional manufacturer of
high-end LCD displays, today announced the launch of their latest
product line, the new E-Series line of LCD displays. The first
E-Series products will be the E-17DA and E-19A now both with DVI.
The E-Series line of displays will be
targeted to the mainstream
market, and will combine a mix of aesthetics, reliability, and
performance. The E-Series displays are elegantly designed, combining
a sleek black display with softer, more graceful curves on the sides
and back. Control buttons and the built-in multimedia speakers are
designed not to be intrusive, but instead, to blend in with the
overall design. For viewing flexibility, all E-Series displays
feature a folding base with tilt support, and can be wall or arm
mounted just as easily as they can be placed on a desktop.
With the E-Series, AG Neovo also
addresses the need for display
protection in the mainstream market. The E-Series is one of the most
affordable lines of displays to feature the patent pending NeoV
Optical Filter technology. The 17" is priced at $319.00 and the 19"
is priced at $399.00.
The NeoV Optical Filter is a layer of
specially formulated hardened
optical glass added to the display that significantly enhances the
image quality, while protecting the panel from various types of
damage, including scratches, repetitive touching, and washing.
"Most all LCD panel displays have a
soft touch to the screen, and if
touched with certain cleaning solvents or poked accidentally too hard
with a fingernail, can cause permanent damage to the screen and even
destroy the entire display. We recognize that this can be costly and
hazardous in various environments such as homes and public spaces
where there is a greater need to address the protection of the LCD
display," stated Philip Chang, Sales and Vice President of AG Neovo.
"An additional plus of this product line is that its simple elegance
of the E-Series allows it to subtly blend into both business and home
environments, while equipping E-Series displays with NeoV technology
ensures users of a longer product life for their displays."
The E-17DA 17" display features a
swift 12ms response time, a
brightness of 260, and a 450:1 contrast ratio, while the 19" E-19A
offers a crisp 500:1 contrast ratio, a 12ms response time, and a
brightness of 250. Both the E-17DA and the E-19A support SXGA
resolution (1,280 by 1,024 pixels), feature built-in multimedia
speakers with a headphone jack, a Kensington security slot, an easy
to use OSD, and elegant exterior. Optional AG Neovo accessories such
as a TV Turner (TV-02), LCD Arm, and Wall Mount Kit can also be
included with either of the E-Series displays.

London Train Station Shooting
Supports the Need for Less Lethal ShockRounds(TM)
Company: MDM Group Inc.
Country: USA
url: http://www.mdmgroupinc.com
MDM Group, Inc. (OTC.PK: MDDM) advises
that the fatal shooting at Stockwell Station in London last Friday of a Brazilian
electrician mistakenly thought to be a terrorist bomber suspect represents solid support
for the future use of ShockRounds(TM) in such situations. Had Jean Charles de Menezes been
a terrorist, he could have been captured alive and been able to possibly provide valuable
information. As is now apparent, having been innocent, his life may have been spared had
the ShockRounds(TM) product been available for use.
When confronted with situations posing
immediate threat to the public and infrastructure, our law enforcement agencies and
special operatives have limited solutions available to them today. The continued
escalation of terrorism and civil unrest on a global scale was what MDM Group identified
as requiring an urgent solution that could be readily addressed through the
ShockRounds(TM) opportunity.
ShockRounds(TM) are being developed and
commercialized through MDM Group's Australian listed affiliate Harrington Group Limited
(HGRLF) or Australian (ASX: HGR). See: www.hgrltd.com ShockRounds(TM) are positioned as a
major breakthrough in the munitions, military and law enforcement industries. This patent
pending technology introduces an "electric" charge to traditional ammunition and
other projectiles such as rubber bullets through the combination of existing ballistic and
piezoelectric technologies.
Company President, Peter Boonen said:
"Following the recent successful firing of the world's first "electric" and
wireless 37mm ShockRounds(TM) rubber bullet round, we look forward to confirmation from
Harrington Group of the commissioning of extended caliber opportunities for
ShockRounds(TM) and the release of the first commercial product in Q1 of 2006. Quite
obviously the sooner that Harrington Group gets the ShockRounds(TM) products to market,
the sooner the much needed applications can be addressed."

Next Generation of Game Consoles
Set to Shake up Gaming Industry
Company: GamingIndustryStocks.com
Country: USA
url: http://www.gamingindustrystocks.com
GamingIndustryStocks.com (GIS), an
investor and industry news portal for the gaming sector is pleased to announce the release
of a report regarding the diverse impacts that the next generation of gaming consoles are
anticipated to have on the sector and its participants. As the industry prepares to make
the next gaming cycle transition, fears associated with risks are balanced by predictions
of significant leaps in innovation and new and improved levels of opportunity. Companies
working to take advantage of the growing gaming industry include independent developers
and publishers of interactive entertainment software such as THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) and
Activision Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI), as well as Infinium Labs Inc. (OTCBB: IFLB), developer of
Phantom(r), an on-demand online game service, and peripheral developer Immersion Corp
(NASDAQ: IMMR).
As the gaming industry prepares for the
launch of the next generation of gaming consoles, discussions are heating up as to the
potential impacts that may ensue. Previous transitions have revealed that entrance into
the next gaming cycle often results in higher costs, bigger budgets and larger production
teams. As the current gaming cycle comes to an end and the industry prepares for the next
generation, these impacts are believed to reach new levels.
Companies that have learned from previous
transitions adjust and adapt to ensure that the next cycle proves beneficial. For many
this approach becomes one of safety, as developers and publishers turn to genres, titles,
themes, licensed products and brands that have proven successful, many times avoiding new
and riskier directions.

such as forestry, agriculture, search and rescue, and more," stated
Craig Cervantes, CEO of Global Aerial Surveillance. "The Wraith has
been designed to be a flexible platform whether as a stand alone, or
used in conjunction with multiple aircraft and a Ground Station. The
applications are limitless, and the relatively low overall cost, when
compared to alternative UAV platforms, should attract attention from
those looking to implement an aerial surveillance system."

New Version of dhtmlxTree from
Scand Provides Web Developers with Comfortable Way to Create Full Featured JavaScript
Navigation System for a Web Application
Company: Scand
Country: Belarus
url: http://www.scbr.com
Software development company Scand
announces the release of version 1.1 of its JavaScript navigation component dhtmlxTree.
dhtmlxTree provides a hierarchical view of data and allows web developers to create
extensible DHTML tree control that works in all main browsers for Windows, Unix, Linux and
Mac OS X. With this latest release, the tree control offers full cross-browser
compatibility and powerful client-side API that allows complete customization of a tree
view with JavaScript.
Because dhtmlxTree 1.1 has XML support,
tree structure and appearance can be configured through XML. It allows concentrating on
the content of the tree instead of the underlying complexity of JavaScript code. In
addition, if a tree view was updated with JavaScript all the changes can be saved back to
XML.
Advanced processing of XML allows
dhtmlxTree 1.1 to handle large amounts of data. Dynamical loading of items from XML stream
gives a possibility to create trees with unlimited number of nodes.
dhtmlxTree 1.1 has drag-and-drop
functionality (within one tree, between trees, between frames). Drop-as-sibling behavior
makes it easy to reorder nodes in a tree view.
Other notable feature enhancement in this
version is built-in context menu (right click) enabling web developers to create
user-friendly navigation interface by putting most necessary commands inside this menu and
attaching it to the whole tree, group of items or individual item.
BOXX Unveils the First
4-processor, Dual-Core AMD Opteron(TM)-based

New Study Highlights the Economic
Benefits of VoIP Using Verilink
8000 Series IAD as Benchmark
Verilink Corporation (NASDAQ: VRLK), a
leading provider of broadband access solutions, today announced the results of a new study
conducted by
independent research firm Network Strategy Partners, LLC which identifies and
quantifies the benefits of moving from traditional Time Division
Multiplex (TDM)-based to VoIP-enabled IADs as a CPE solution. The
report, entitled "Economic Impact on T1 Infrastructure of
VoIP-enabled IAD," uses Verilink's 8000 Series IAD as a benchmark in
examining the benefits of VoIP-enabled IADs and explores four primary
areas, including: CAPX analysis; recurring operating costs; total
cost of ownership (TCO); and operating expenses.
Conclusions from the study support the
economic, technical and
operational advantages of VoIP-enabled IADs over their TDM-based
counterparts, and revealed a sharp reduction in legacy infrastructure
CAPX spending with the introduction of VoIP-enabled IADs and
softswitching. The study found that CAPX is 71% to 75% less through
the integration of VoIP enabled IADs in the future mode operations
(FMO) over that of present mode operations (PMO) based on TDM. The
study also found that the use of TDM IADs typically result in the
underutilization of a T1's full capacity due to the channelized
nature of TDM's dedicated DS0 circuits. VoIP-enabled IADs, in
contrast, can increase T1 utilization from 50 to 100% by employing
statistical multiplexing and sophisticated QoS capabilities, thus
tripling the service capacity of a T1 line.

Gaming Development Plays Key Role
in Military Training and Security Preparation
Company: GamingIndustryStocks.com/HDS
Country: USA
url: www.gamingindustrystocks.com
an investor and industry news portal for
the gaming sector and HomelandDefenseStocks.com (HDS), a news portal for the security
industry, report on the convergence of gaming and the military as both industries work
towards improving current levels of military training and preparation. Recent innovations
in game development have become effective and efficient means for military divisions such
as the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corp to obtain valuable field training without the
high costs or timely process associated with physical in-field training.
Unlike war simulation games used for
entertainment purposes that have scripted formats, these military programs have graphical
variables that can be changed to suit different scenarios. Soldiers find themselves
immersed in the game's ability to recreate true-to-life combat sights, sounds and the
overall instability and volatility of the battle zone.
The lines are becoming blurred between
the gaming industry and the military, as each turn to the other to further develop their
respective technologies and user base. Game developers see commercial opportunities
through the potential to make the already popular military genre grow to higher levels
through the acquisition of key insights into the reality of battle. The military has found
multiple benefits in using video games, which have proven to be a useful tool for both
training, as they attempt to recreate the combat zone, and recruitment purposes as they
try and reach out to potential soldiers. Commercial opportunities from a marriage with the
gaming industry would also offer the military an additional revenue source as they
capitalize on the content they have to offer developers and the public at large.

SMS in the U.S. - The Right
Technology for Cellular Messaging Success?
Company: visiongain
Country: UK
url: http://www.ewirelessnews.com/index.html
According to the latest visiongain report " SMS in the U.S. - The Right Technology
for Cellular Messaging Success?" text Messaging, or SMS, has been hugely successful
in many parts of the world, but not so in the United States. The report question why this
is and debates whether SMS ever be as popular in the U.S. market compared with the rest of
the world.
With 270 billion messages sent globally
last year, and the figure continuing to grow year-on-year, this communications tool has
revolutionized the way that consumers and businesses across the world interact. Pricing
issues and a lack of awareness of the service, are both factors that can be easily
overcome by American carriers, however the results show the US market failing to embrace
SMS technology as widely as the rest of the world. Speculations of other non-voice
cellular communications technology, such as MMS, Mobile Instant Messaging or Mobile
E-mail, could be the reason for fueling data-revenue growth in the U.S. instead.
The U.S. market for cellular
communications grew 13.5% from 2002 to a value of $88 billion in 2003 and the market for
wireless service in the U.S. is extremely concentrated with the top six companies sharing
more than 70% of the total market. As of second quarter of 2004 the number of U.S.
wireless subscribers was 163.5 million, up from slightly under 154 million at the close of
2003. The top-tier national carriers are no longer adding subscribers at the sustained
rates of the past, and other factors such as ARPU, CPGA, and churn are becoming a more
critical basis upon which to assess their relative strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and
opportunities.
In the United States, more than 33% of
mobile users are actively using text messaging- a total of 38 million. As of first quarter
of 2004, mobile subscribers in Western Europe reached 332 million, for a penetration rate
of 85%. Fifty million of these subscribers live in the United Kingdom, and 73% of UK
subscribers use text messaging. As in continental Europe, text messaging in the UK is
appealing to mobile users of all incomes and education levels. However in America texting
is biased to the young - 57% of SMS users (of the 53% of mobile owners) are within the
18-25 year old age bracket.
By studying trends and business models
from Europe and Asia, and the SMS strategies and solutions of the major U.S. carriers this
report provides recommendations and forecasts to help companies understand the market
potential of SMS, and other non-voice cellular communications technologies in the U.S. The
studies of the psychology of both the European and American consumer in order to offer an
understanding of what action needs to be taken to realize the market opportunities in the
U.S.
The report "SMS in the U.S. - The
Right Technology for Cellular Messaging Success?" investigates the American market,
and explains why SMS has not reached European levels of usage. The report also details
what work must be completed to tap into this vital non-voice revenue potential, and where
MMS, mobile IM and E-mail will be positioned in the market over the coming years.
There are extensive examples across the
globe of how the SMS market has exploded into a wealth of instant communications
situations, thereby vastly improving the quality, interactivity and cost of advertising,
media, and business, and at the same time generating vital revenues across the wireless
industry. Globally, consumers and businesses have applied SMS to their daily business
applications and have received startling results. Visiongain believes that currently 270
billion messages are sent globally each year, and growth in many European markets
continues to soar.
China could see over 580 million
mobile subscribers by 2010 announces visiongain's latest report.
Company: visiongain
Country: UK
url: http://www.ewirelessnews.com/index.html
The latest study, "The China Mobile
Market" published by business information providers, visiongain, investigates the
high growth of mobile and Internet users in China, which began in the second half of
1990s. Since then, the mobile market in China has become fiercer, with competition amongst
mobile operators to control the entire value chain from contents and application through
to terminals.
With a huge potential subscriber base,
China's Internet and mobile markets still have a low and moderate penetration level
respectively in comparison to other leading world markets. New regulation has created four
mobile operators: China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom and China Netcom, with mobile
communication services accelerating in the mainland and mobile user figures reaching 334
million in 2004.
"China's mobile subscribers will
grow to 386 million subscribers by the end of 2005, rising to 580 million by the end of
2010", comments Nidhir Maudgalya, visiongain's Telecommunications analyst.
With a penetration rate of 25.7%, the
mobile market in China is far from saturation levels. However, mobile operators in the
mainland are faced with decreasing ARPU rates. Their approach to develop policies to
address this issue, analysed in this report, is likely to result in consistent profit
growth in China in future.
All possible aspects related to
technology standards, in the event of launch of 3G services in the country, have been
analysed including visiongain's predictions related to the much-anticipated third
generation service. The report provides in depth analysis and predictions on the three
possible standards likely to be deployed for 3G-service delivery in China.
Visiongain believes that if mobile
operators and handset vendors play their cards right with respect to pricing, marketing
and distribution strategies, especially in targeting the niche market areas and nascent
consumer market, China could see over 580 million mobile subscribers by 2010, with a
significant proportion using 3G enabled handsets.

Moneynet Warns Consumers May Be
Caught Short By ID Theft Protection Products
Company: Moneynet
Country: UK

title: Moneynet Warns Consumers May Be Caught Short By ID Theft Protection Products
Bank account and credit card holders are
being advised not to be lulled into a false sense of security just because they have
signed up with a provider's fraud protection policy. With the growing threat of ID theft
in the shape of bank account and credit card cloning, lenders, card companies and credit
reference agencies increasingly offer customers a range of anti-id theft services.
But online financial data analysis
company Moneynet today warns that many of these policies are flawed in that they do not
offer full financial compensation to victims of fraud - and urges credit card and account
holders to take simple measures to protect themselves against the rising problem of id
theft.
"We have seen a number of providers
- and even credit reference agencies such as Experian - marketing protection services in
recent months," said Moneynet chief executive Richard Brown."Yet few, if any, of
these services appear to offer insurance protection against actual financial loss in the
event that a credit card company, for example, refuses to cover the loss - and surely this
is what consumers really need," he said. "And if consumers are going to take out
cover, they should also be aware that the cost of protection can vary considerably,"
he added. "Royal Bank of Scotland's service, while very comprehensive, will cost its
customers more than £80 a year, while Barclaycard charges less than half that for a
similar level of cover. However, the full terms and conditions of the credit card should
also be taken into account and the id protection products should not be considered in
isolation.

Pop3 Media Corp To Develop
Groundbreaking New Storage Technology
Pop3 Media Corp. announced today that the Company is in the final stages of
negotiations to acquire the rights to an exciting new proprietary portable data storage
technology which is currently under development.
This exciting new technology will allow for the storage of vast
amounts of data on a single portable disc, with minimum storage
capacities of over 50 GBytes per disc and maximum storage capacities
upwards of 100 GBytes. Additionally, we expect extremely high data
transfer rates; approaching speeds similar to hard drives.
The technology currently under development is intended to allow data
to be replicated on a low-cost, mass production basis, comparable to
CD/DVD-ROM discs, while simultaneously allowing recording of uniquely
identifying serial numbers and/or user data on the same portable
media. This capability is intended to enable the use of new and
ever-changing copy prevention technologies to ensure that the rights
of copyright holders are protected. Pop3 intends to license the
technology to various manufacturers when development is completed.
Pop3 believes that this new technology will be more than able to
compete against other emerging technologies being readied to replace
the DVD in the near future. The emergence of HDTV, with its enormous
data storage requirements and the ever increasing need for reliable
data backup, will ensure a market for high-capacity removable data
storage devices. One of the most exciting features of this technology
is that it is intended to use mostly off-the-shelf hardware already
in mass production. It is expected that a licensed manufacturer
should be able to produce player/recorders for under $100 and fully
replicate and serialized discs below $5.00

Complete Rich Text Editor Featuring DERT!
Company: mental9Production
Country: Lebanon
url: http://www.mental9Production.com
mental9Production, AKA m9P software production and publishing, announces today the release
of m9P Editor Plus, a complete rich text editor featuring DERT, a technique for compiling
rich text into distributable program. This editor supports text to speech and can also be
used as text to PDF and rich text to HTML converter. A unique solution that combines many
advanced features into one fun and easy to use software, m9P Editor Plus is available for
purchase mainly from the publisher website and from many online software distributors for
62.00 USD!
m9P Editor Plus is a complete rich text
editor that features the DERT technique. By default, the application handles text editing
with the standard rich text format (RTF) found in documents with the (.rtf) extension. RTF
enables you to write text with persistent format and to embed images and objects within
your document. To make it easier for you to work with several documents at once, the
editor is build as a multiple document interface (MDI) program that can host many
documents within a single user interface. One interesting feature in m9P Editor Plus is
that it can compile distributable executable rich text (DERT). As a trademark of
mental9Production, DERT technique enables you to distribute your rich text with all of its
embedded images and objects as a single compressed and secured executable program. This
ensures that your publication reach its destination as intended without the ability to be
tempered with. The executable can be run to display your rich text in read mode only
exactly as was originally written and formatted. Building your text as executable is
especially useful for internet distribution, where users can download and run your
publication as any ordinary program.
Candy-Flavored Cigarettes Try to
Make Tobacco a Sweet Treat for Kids
American Lung Association Issues Tobacco
Policy Trend Alert Calling
for Government Action
The tobacco industry is continuing its targeted marketing to teens via candy-flavored
cigarettes, according to an American Lung Association Tobacco Policy Trend Alert: From Joe
Camel to Kauai Kolada -- the Marketing of Candy-Flavored Cigarettes. Advertising and
promotion for these
products uses hip-hop imagery, attractive women, and other imagery to
appeal to youth in similar ways that Joe Camel did a decade ago.
Tobacco products remain virtually unregulated and each day more than
5,000 kids under 18 try their first cigarette, and more than 2,000
become established daily smokers.
Increased marketing efforts for
candy-flavored cigarettes came after
the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement prohibited tobacco companies from
using cartoon characters to sell cigarettes. The surge in advertising
from top tobacco companies such as Reynolds American has successfully
reached the intended Audience -- youth -- in an underhanded manner.
Researchers at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY,
recently released the results of several surveys that showed that 20
percent of smokers ages 17 to 19 smoked flavored cigarettes in the
past 30 days while only 6 percent of smokers over the age of 25 did.
"It's appalling that the tobacco
industry is not held responsible for
the deadly products it continues to market and sell to young people,"
said John Kirkwood, President and CEO of the American Lung
Association. "Clearly, the industry is trying to get young people
hooked on smoking and nothing is being done to limit this targeted
marketing. Cigarettes, even in assorted candy flavors, cause lung
cancer and lung disease and should be banned for the sake of our
children."
Action at the federal level has been
minimal. A proposed bill giving
the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authority to regulate tobacco
products failed to pass in Congress in 2004. Identical FDA
legislation was reintroduced in March 2005. Under the proposed FDA
legislation, candy and fruit flavoring in cigarettes would be
immediately prohibited. The legislation would also regulate the sale,
marketing and manufacturing of cigarettes.
You can make your voice heard on this
issue by logging on to
http://lungaction.org/campaign/tobaccofda and advocating for stricter
regulation of the tobacco industry. The full American Lung
Association Tobacco Policy Trend Alert: From Joe Camel to Kauai Kolada

information at minimum time expenditure.
The Enterprise version features transfer
to a system of plug-ins (libraries) that allows supporting virtually any data sources (in
the Professional version you could only work with a special text format .csv). The
standard iNetFormFiller Enterprise delivery package includes both a support plug-in for
.csv format support and a Software Development Kit with the help of which you can create
libraries for connecting to any third-party data sources. In addition, the SoftInform
company is planning on enhancing the standard delivery package of the application with new
plug-ins.
iNetFormFiller Enterprise is a flexible
system for automatic filling of forms with support of batch-processing that will
dramatically cut down the time and efforts you spend on filling the same forms with
identical data.

AKVIS Stamp 2.0 Digital Image Retouching Has Become More Fun Than Work!
Company: AKVIS LLC
Country: Russian Federation
http://akvis.com/
AKVIS LLC announces the release of AKVIS
Stamp V.2.0. New to the version: support of 16 bits per channel. AKVIS Stamp is an
intelligent cloning tool. The application helps users of any level of computer competence
to seamlessly remove image defects and clone objects with a minimum of efforts.
Unlike common cloning tools, AKVIS Stamp
boasts automatic adjusting of the "patches" to the color range, texture and
brightness of the target background. Thanks to that, you can easily remove face
imperfections (wrinkles, freckles, pimples) and even objects that spoil a photo - like
waste bins, wires, street signs).
The unique Edit Mode allows you to clone
large fragments. It will not fuse the cloned area with the background until the Edit Mode
is deactivated, allowing multiple revisions such as changing the size of the stamp,
indicating another source for cloning, making clones out of different parts of the image,
and otherwise editing the cloned area before making the changes permanent. When all the
details of a retouch are complete, the user switches off the Edit Mode, and all the cloned
areas are flawlessly integrated. Demonstrations of AKVIS Stamp's features are available at

XsunX, Inc. (OTCBB: XSNX), developer of
Power Glass(TM) -- an innovative solar technology that allows glass windows to produce
electricity from the power of the sun, announced today that continued development efforts
in low temperature processing techniques on plastic films have produced superior results
